Anthony (Anthony Hopkins) is 81 years old. He lives alone in his London flat and refuses all the carers his daughter Anne (Olivia Colman) tries to impose on him. But this need is becoming increasingly urgent for her as she can no longer see him every day: She has made the decision to move to Paris to live with a man she has recently met.... As Anthony tries to come to terms with his emerging dementia and changed circumstances, he begins to doubt his loved ones, his own sanity and even the structure of his reality. Anthony Hopkings won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for this role.
