Mon Crime

The crime comedy with deliciously pointed dialogue, unexpected twists and tricky situations is set in 1930s Paris. The unsuccessful young actress Madeleine lives with her friend Pauline, an unemployed lawyer, in a tiny attic flat. The two are threatened with dismissal because they haven't had the money to pay the rent for months. Then, out of the blue, Madeleine is accused of the murder of a famous film producer. On Pauline's advice, she pleads guilty, even though she is not. A trial ensues in which the clever Pauline pleads self-defence and Madeleine is promptly acquitted. The trial and the verdict cause a great stir, Madeleine is the talk of the town and soon numerous lucrative role offers come in. But then a witness suddenly appears who wants to bring the truth to light at all costs...
