Madres paralelas

Janis (Penélope Cruz) and Ana (Milena Smit) meet in a hospital room where they are about to give birth. Both are single and became pregnant unintentionally. Janis, middle-aged, has no regrets and is overjoyed. Ana, on the other hand, is scared, remorseful and traumatised. Janis tries to encourage her as they wander the hospital corridors like sleepwalkers. The few words they exchange in these hours create a very close bond between the two that develops and complicates by accident and changes their lives in a decisive way.
