Lee
LEE is the true story of Lee Miller, a woman who was way ahead of her time. Starring Marion Cotillard, Alexandrer Skarsgard and Kate Winslet, who will be honored with the Golden Icon Award at this year's ZFF.
As a model and muse of avant-garde photographer Man Ray, Lee Miller (Kate Winslet) soon tires of being the object of her male colleagues and concentrates on her own work as a photographer. In the middle of the war, she goes to the front in France as a photojournalist and, together with her colleague David E. Scherman (Andy Samberg), documents the horrors of the Second World War for months. Miller and Scherman witness the liberation of Paris and sneak into Hitler's abandoned Munich apartment - where the most famous and important picture of Miller himself is taken: in the Führer's bathtub. They were also among the first photographers to enter the Buchenwald and Dachau camps. Lee's pictures became the most powerful testimonies to those horrific crimes and became etched in history - but Miller himself would not let go of them until the end of his life.
