En fanfare

Thibaut, a conductor from Paris, is at the peak of his career and fills concert halls all over the world. One day, a medical examination reveals that he and his sister are not related at all, as Thibaut was adopted. Instead, he learns that he apparently has a biological brother. Jimmy is employed in the school canteen in a working-class town in the north of France and plays the trombone in the local brass band. Their lives couldn't be more different, but their passion for music and their musical talent soon bring them closer together. While Thibaut, an adopted son with a privileged childhood, tries to make up for the social injustice of fate, Jimmy finally dares to dream of a life beyond his limited opportunities.
