Notting Hill

William Thacker (Hugh Grant) can hardly believe his eyes when cinema star Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) suddenly enters his bookshop. He nervously exchanges a few sentences with her and this dreamlike encounter is actually over. But when he collides with the woman of his dreams in the street shortly afterwards and spills orange juice on her, fate finally takes its course: after Anna has changed her clothes in William's flat, she suddenly kisses him. Neither of them really understands what is happening. The only thing that is certain is that the most famous actress in the world and probably the most unsuccessful bookseller in London are in each other's arms. Anna and William spend a few happy, carefree days together until Anna's boyfriend suddenly turns up, who William of course had no idea existed.
