At a young age, after those around him had long considered him “crazy,” Davidson was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome—a condition that was largely unknown at the time. To this day, he continues to advocate for greater understanding and acceptance of people with Tourette syndrome. In recognition of this dedication, he was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by the Queen in 2019.
