Challengers

In the new work by visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagnino (including "Call Me by Your Name"), Zendaya plays the leading role of former tennis prodigy Tashi Duncan. The determined power woman now works successfully as a trainer and has built up her husband (Mike Faist) into a champion. However, because he is in a slump, Tashi persuades him to take part in a lower-class tournament in order to regain his former strength. However, the comeback plan takes a surprising turn when Tashi's husband has to compete against the failed Patrick (Josh O'Connor) - his former best friend and Tashi's former partner.  

As past and present collide and tensions boil over, Tashi must ask himself a crucial question: How far will I go to win?
