Age ratings

Guidelines

The age ratings for our films are set by the Swiss Film Commission for the protection of young people. You can view a detailed explanation of the age ratings here.

Minimum ages for screenings

Children less than two years younger than the minimum age specified for a screening may attend if they are accompanied by an adult. 

Minimum age and accompanying adults

Visitors at our film screenings must be at least 4 years old. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. 

18 rating

Under-18s may not attend films rated 18, even if they are accompanied by an adult.

Getting here

Allianz Cinema is located right at the beautiful lake of Zurich. Unfortunately there is no parking space available around Zurichhorn. It’s best to walk or cycle here. It’s also easy to get here by public transport. You can find all your travel information here.

Babies and children

Please check our age ratings. We’re happy to make an exception for babies, but we ask our visitors to be responsible – please ensure that your little one does not disrupt the screening.

Accessible cinema

Wheelchair accessibility

Great cinema is accessible to all. Allianz Cinema has a disabled toilet and wheelchair spaces. Book tickets for your preferred film night in advance and then send an email to care@cinerent.com detailing the film, location and date you’ve booked tickets for, as well as the number of accompanying persons and (if necessary) required wheelchair spaces.

Audio description & subtitles

The programme includes a list of films with audio descriptions and/or subtitles that can be accessed via the GRETA app.

Food & Drinks

Reservations

Seats in the catering area cannot be reserved. 

Picnics & food from home

Film-goers may not picnic or bring their own food or drinks. Our catering partners thank you for your understanding and hope you enjoy our truly cinematic experience for your taste buds. 

Vegan & vegetarian options

There are tasty culinary treats in store for everyone – including vegans and vegetarians, who have plenty of great options. 

Popcorn

You won’t find popcorn here. Why? Because our cinema is outdoors and popcorn scattered on the ground attracts birds and other non-paying creatures.

Canine companions

In principle, dogs are welcome at cinema premises. However, we ask visitors to be responsible. Please ensure your furry friend does not disrupt the screening.

Ladies Night – just for ladies?

Of course men are welcome at our Ladies Night too! We and our women film-goers would be delighted to see any male guests at annabelle Movie Night.

Reserving seats

Seats

If you have a valid ticket, you are guaranteed a seat. However, the seats aren’t numbered, so it is worth arriving early.

Seats reservations

Allianz provides reserved signs at the entrance so you can save your favourite seat once doors open at 7 pm.

Languages

Original and unadulterated

We show all of our films in the original language, with German and – if available – French subtitles. We make an exception for our young film-goers on Allianz Family Night. Detailed information is available in the film programme.

Ticket prices

Prices

There are two different categories of tickets available in advance presale. Tickets at CHF 24 will give you full access to the cinema and catering areas from 7pm. These tickets consist of a movie fee (CHF 16) and a location fee (CHF 8). With a ticket at CHF 16 you will only be able to attend the cinema 30 minutes prior to movie start.

Allianz Family Night

Allianz sponsors all tickets for children up to 14 years of age for the "Allianz Family Night" (subject to availability).

Buying tickets

Advance booking

Tickets are available as from 27th June 2025, noon, at allianzcinema.ch or at the ticket booth on Bellevueplatz (please note that for sold out shows, there will not be any additional tickets at the ticket booth on Bellevueplatz). 

Box office - not sold out

Tickets are available to buy at the box office from 7 pm. But it’s better to be safe than sorry, so we recommend booking in advance!

Box office - sold out

Unfortunately, there are no more tickets available at the box office for sold-out screenings. With a bit of luck, very last tickets will be sold shortly before the start of the film. This decision is made at very short notice and there is no guarantee.

Exchanging tickets

Exchanges & returns
Unfortunately, you cannot exchange or return purchased tickets. The good news is, if you’re lucky, you’ll find a new buyer for your tickets on our Facebook-Page.

Environmentally friendly cinema

Deposit

Allianz Cinema cares about the environment. That’s why we only serve our food and drinks in reusable dishes and glasses, with a deposit fee of CHF 2 or CHF 5 respectively. This fee is refunded when the items are returned.

Carbon-neutral thanks to myclimate

Thanks to its partnership with myclimate and CO2 compensation, Allianz Cinema is  100% carbon-neutral. 

Discounts & vouchers

Students and apprentices

Students and apprentices get a CHF 3 discount on all screenings. Please present the relevant identity card at the at the main entrance.

ProCinema vouchers

ProCinema vouchers are valid here and can be redeemed at the box office on site or at our ticket booth on Bellevueplatz. However, they do not entitle the holder to attend sold-out screenings.

Weather

Weather-proof

We screen our films in all weather. If we have to cancel a film night before it starts, we’ll announce the cancellation well in advance on the website and our social media channels. If a screening is cancelled, the ticket price is refunded. 

Free rain ponchos 

In the event of rain we have free rain ponchos for our guests.

Sheltered seats 

Our cinema area is out in the open. But there are more than 400 sheltered seats in the catering area, so you can keep your food dry.

Payment methods

We accept all common means of payment in the catering area and at the box office. Near the main entrance (in the direction of Tiefenbrunnen) is a mobile ATM from Zürcher Kantonalbank.
